COVID-19 Infection Prevention & Control Policy

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy

For

BellaBeauty

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

I have missed being able to offer you the treatment that I know you love, and I am looking forward to seeing you again.

My priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening I have implemented a number of changes which I would like to make you aware of. During the time I have been shut, I have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. I have since made a number of changes in the way that I operate that you will notice when you next visit.

Booking Appointments

There will be a Covid-19 related booking form for you to fill out before you are able to book your appointment on my website. This is so I can determine that it is safe for you to attend your appointment at the salon. I will also be asking you Covid-19 related questions the day before your appointment to make sure nothing has changed and you are not showing any signs or symptoms.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise me as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT. I will be relaxing my cancellation policy and you will not be charged for missed appointments due to the current situation. However, this will not be used as an excuse for missing your appointment for a different reason.

If I or any of my family feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I/we will self-isolate immediately and I will not be able to work. This may mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment cancelled is a full set, your deposit will be transferable.

Visiting the Salon

For your safety and to maintain social distancing, I ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving.. This is already one of my policies so all my clients should already be aware of this. I will sent you a text when I am ready for you to come in. Please come to your appointment alone, at this time I cannot allow any children or plus ones in the salon.

I have increased the frequency of cleaning including making sure that common surfaces, door handles, etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client.

My bed blanket will be covered with thin plastic sheets so I am able to dispose of after every client. Please bring your own blanket if you wish.

All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.

Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.

You will have access to a hand sanitiser that you will be asked to use as you enter the salon.

I ask that you please wear a facemask, and disposable gloves if you wish, to attend your appointment. You are welcome to bring your own or disposable masks will be available for you to purchase at your appointment.

I will also be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) during your appointment. This will be a face mask and a face shield.

I can confirm that the laundering of any towels and uniforms is a priority I can assure you that any salon laundry is washed at 60 degrees C.

All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area every day.

My treatments

I have carried out a risk assessment on my treatment and I have put in place all of the necessary measures to make it as safe as possible for both you and myself.

During your treatment

I understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that I wash my hands in according with NHS recommendations and also use a 70% alcohol hand sanitiser before the start of your treatment.

I do ask for there to be minimum taking through the appointment as much as I can’t wait to catch up with you all.

I will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments, please let me know and I will do what I can to satisfy you.

After the treatment

I will still be accepting cash as a payment for your treatment.

Hand sanitiser if available if you wish to use after your appointment.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine. I will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.

Thank you for your understanding.
